Residential project – Almoradì (Spain)

In the heart of Mediterranean Spain, amidst landscapes of warm light and architecture suspended between past and future, a residential project comes to life that reinterprets the concept of contemporary luxury. We are in Almoradí, in one of the most exclusive areas of the Valencian community, where studio AM Concept Asum Montoya has coordinated an interior project that redefines high-end living through a perfect balance of design and comfort, sophisticated materials and intimate atmospheres, innovation and roots.

The villa presents itself as a harmonious composition, where each room has its own distinctive identity, while maintaining a common thread that accompanies a visual journey through spaces designed to excite. From the dining room, dominated by the carpets of the Carpetia Royal collection with the Yvonne graphics, inspired by corals, to the master bedroom embellished by the golden reflections of the Chanel motif printed on Prestige Gold, to the most intimate rooms, such as the second bedroom, wrapped in the delicacy of the Blanca graphics: each room tells a different chapter of the same story.

What is striking is the extraordinary design coherence between decorative and functional elements, vertical and horizontal surfaces, and the overall vision and sartorial attention to detail. A result made possible thanks to the collaboration with Instabilelab, which provided technical and customisable solutions capable of transforming excellent materials into expressive tools at the service of the project.

We met up with AM Concept studio Asum Montoya to find out more about the design choices, the materials selected and the creative process that resulted in a home in which luxury and sophistication, tradition and contemporaneity coexist in perfect balance.

– This residential project in Almoradí stands out for its balance of contemporary sophistication and touches of tradition. What was your initial vision and how did you transform this villa into a space that so clearly expresses elegance and identity?

At AM Concept by Asun Montoya, we conceived this project with the intention of reinterpreting the Mediterranean tradition from a contemporary, elegant and functional point of view. We wanted the home to speak of its context, but in a contemporary, refined and very personal language. Through a careful selection of noble materials, a balanced colour palette and a coherent design in all rooms, we succeeded in transforming this villa into a sophisticated home with a strong identity.

– In the dining room, Instabilelab carpets with the Yvonne graphics introduce a natural element into a contemporary context. How does this choice fit into your approach to luxury residential design? How did the technical characteristics of the Carpetia Royal material support your vision, both aesthetically and functionally?

At AM Concept by Asun Montoya we always look for elements that convey emotion and harmony. The Yvonne carpet introduces an organic movement that contrasts with the clean architecture of the space, creating a perfect balance. The Carpetia Royal backing offered us exactly what we needed: resistance to everyday use, softness to the touch and an aesthetic quality to match. Functionality cannot be at odds with beauty in a project of this level.

– In a room like the master bedroom, the choice of Chanel cladding on Prestige Gold was decisive in creating an atmosphere of luxury and charm. What guided you in selecting this material compared to other options on the market? What visual and emotional impact did you want to achieve?

At AM Concept by Asun Montoya, we conceived the master bedroom as a silent luxury space where rest and aesthetics embrace. The Chanel wallpaper with Prestige Gold material was a natural choice: it gives depth, elegance and a subtle presence that transforms with the light. We were looking for a serene emotional impact, an enveloping and sophisticated feeling, but without excess. This balance is our signature.

– In the second bedroom, you opted for the Blanca graphics, printed on a New Middle support, creating a more subdued, relaxing and sophisticated ambience. What technical and aesthetic features of this material convinced you in defining a more intimate but equally well-cared-for space?

Each room in AM Concept by Asun Montoya is designed from its function. This second bedroom needed to be more intimate and delicate, and Instabilelab’s New Middle wallcovering offered us the perfect texture and finish to achieve this. Its ability to gently absorb light creates a cosy, very serene atmosphere without sacrificing elegance. In addition, the ease of installation and durability fully meet the technical requirements we always look for in our projects.

The possibility of coordinating wallpapers, carpets and fabrics is one of Instabilelab’s distinctive stylistic features. How important was this visual coherence in building the villa’s identity? And how important was it, also operationally, to be able to count on a single partner for integrated solutions?

For a studio like AM Concept by Asun Montoya, where every detail counts, visual coherence is not an added value: it is a priority. Working with Instabilelab allowed us to develop a unified aesthetic language throughout the house, with smooth transitions between rooms and a solid visual narrative. On an operational level, being able to count on a single partner was decisive in streamlining processes, ensuring quality and maintaining absolute control over the final result.

– Every interior project poses specific challenges: how did Instabilelab support your design vision, both creatively and technically? What aspects of the collaboration impressed you most during the realisation of this project?

At AM Concept by Asun Montoya, we place enormous value on a supplier’s ability to understand and accompany our vision. Instabilelab not only met our expectations, but elevated our proposals with creative solutions and impeccable technical support. We were impressed by their level of commitment, speed and adherence to the quality standards we demand in every intervention. They were a key partner in achieving excellence in the end result.

The project realised by AM Concept at Almoradí is an example of how design can become language, as well as materials narrative tools. Each choice is part of a coherent score, where aesthetics and functionality coexist. In this balance, the material is not just decoration, but experience: it lives from the light that passes through it, from the gesture that touches it, from the design vision that generated it. A project that demonstrates how design, when born from a clear idea and conscious collaboration, can become atmosphere, narrative, identity.
